Question of the Month

I've been hearing and reading about United Way's work with "partners".  Who are those partners, and where do they come from?

UWGS brings people together to work on long-terms solutions to our community's top issues: Transportation, Access to Healthcare, Substance Abuse, and Housing.

Our list of partners is constantly changing, but in general, as we build and join coalitions, United Way looks to partner with key leaders in the community representing:

  • School systems
  • Law enforcement
  • Business community
  • Civic and volunteer groups
  • Parents
  • Youth
  • Youth serving organizations
  • Religious or fraternal organizations
  • Healthcare professionals (public health networks, local community health centers, hospitals)
  • State, local government agencies
  • Non-profit agencies
