Advancing the Common Good: Creating Opportunities for a Better Life for All
Everyone deserves opportunities to have a good life: a quality education that leads to a stable job, enough income to support a family through retirement, and good health. United Way of the Greater Seacoast is working to advance the common good by focusing on education, income and health - the building blocks for a good life.
Advancing the common good is less about helping one person at a time and more about changing systems to help all of us. Our goal is to create long-lasting changes that prevent problems from happening in the first place.
Our vision for the Greater Seacoast:
- Children have safe, high-quality early learning opportunities.
- City planners, developers, conservationists and citizens work together to create affordable housing.
- Working lower-income families claim the tax credits they deserve to increase income and have opportunities to build assets.
- Increase access to healthcare though better transportation options and medical services donated by medical professionals for the un- and underinsured.
- Grow healthy kids and communities through substance abuse prevention.
We invite you to be a part of the change. Together, united, we can inspire hope and create opportunities for a better tomorrow.
That's what it means to LIVE UNITED.
