Community Response Grants

The Community Response Fund is a small pool of United Way funds (approximately $70,000 per year) designed to assist programs and services in the service area of the United Way of the Greater Seacoast in response to an emerging opportunity that is a new approach to an existing need, was not identified during our regular 3-year grant cycle, cannot wait until the next grant cycle.

Examples of emerging opportunities include:

  • An expansion in services to meet an unforeseen increase in client demand
  • A time-limited opportunity to significantly increase and/or improve organizational capacity
  • An opportunity to leverage an equal or greater amount of funding to support your program

    Emergency Grants
, a component of our Community Response Fund, offer assistance, on a one-time basis, to non-profit 501(c)3-certified organizations within United Way of the Greater Seacoast's service area. Requests will be considered from agencies in desperate need of funds caused by man-made or natural disasters.
