UWGS and our partners are improving access to quality affordable childcare and early learning opportunities by helping nonprofit childcare centers learn better ways to work together to save money in order to provide services to more families in need.
UWGS and our partners helped over 350 individuals through free tax assistance in 2007 totally over $300,000 of increased income for working families.
UWGS is also training local volunteers to educate their town decision makers about the importance of affordable housing in the Greater Seacoast so more working families can have a stable place to call home.
UWGS and our partners are improving people's health by providing critical healthcare and social services through increased transportation for seniors, people with disabilities and lower-income working families and through specialized healthcare services for uninsured families and individuals.
UWGS and our partners also set a goal to reduce binge drinking and raise the age when youth first use alcohol in the next 3 years by encouraging communities to make changes in the environment that encourage underage substance use and abuse.
